Swanone Fitness Classes

Weight Workout

Using resistance through dumbbells or tubing/dynabands, we build strength and endurance, bone density; increase our overall body tone and energy with a weight workout. Training with weights is an important component to maintaining a healthy body weight and overall health as we age. Core training, flexibility, balance and cardio drills will be incorporated into class.

Fascial Release & Restore

As we live our life, we develop patterns of tension in our body tissues. Patterns can develop due to injuries, repetitive movement patterns, stress and stored emotions. These patterns can then contribute to a sense of “stiffness” and body pain. Pain does not have to be inevitable as we age, rather listening to the body through fascial release techniques (foam roller and rolling balls) participants can decrease pain and bring balance back to the body. Fascial release techniques will improve posture and leave participants with a sense of calm.

TRX & Cardio

TRX is a suspension training system which uses your own bodyweight to develop strength, power, endurance, mobility, balance, flexibility, and the best abs you have ever had! Kettle bell exercises and cardio are added to the workout as drills. TRX is a functional based workout for anyone at any level of fitness, but make no mistake, this piece of equipment will challenge you at whatever level you are at.

Barre Class

The focus in this class is building strength in the legs, core and upper body using Ballet and Pilates inspired movements. As a result, you will develop exceptional strength and tone in your legs, abdominals/core, upper body, along with excellent posture! Additionally, there will be movements using light handheld weights for upper body work. This class will literally kick your butt!! .

Pilates Mat Class & HIIT

This class contains a challenging combination: 1. The precision and alignment of Pilates and 2. The heart pumping intervals of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). This combination will work your body balance, develop overall body strength, improve posture, and challenge your core strength. Equipment such as toning balls, soft Pilates balls and dynabands/stretchy bands may be added into the class. You will need sneakers for this class
